Job summary

Urology Clinics of North Texas is seeking a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant to support physicians and APPs in delivering patient-centered care. The role is based at the McKinney clinic with occasional coverage at Frisco, PGA, Allen and Plano clinics as needed.

Responsibilities include opening the clinic, patient prep, charting in the EHR, processing prescriptions, assisting with exams, specimen handling, and scheduling surgeries.

Qualifications

• Understand urology terminology, meds, procedures and instruments.
• Excellent communication with patients, families and staff.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Responsibilities

• Open clinic, prep exam rooms and assist providers as needed.
• Manage patient flow and schedule surgeries or services.
• Document calls, orders and results in the EHR accurately.
• Perform specimen handling and basic lab tasks per protocol.
• Maintain sterile technique and comply with OSHA/CLIA guidelines.
