Job summary

Mercy Clinic Urology at Southfork is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians and the clinical team in rooming patients, taking vitals, and assisting procedures. You will participate in medication reconciliation, injections, and charting to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role offers a Monday–Friday, day-shift schedule with no weekends, providing opportunities for ongoing patient interaction and career growth within Mercy’s outpatient urology team.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Preferred Experience: One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by the clinic
• New hires must attend MA Clinic Academy training

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs
• Assist physicians and APPs with patient care and procedures
• Prepare and maintain instruments and clinical equipment
• Prepare and stock exam rooms
• Perform point-of-care testing
• Complete medication reconciliation and administer injections as appropriate
• Assist with basic in-basket messages and medication refill requests
• Complete documentation and scanning
• Communicate patient needs and updates with physicians and APPs
• Assist with appointment scheduling and medical record requests
• Enter diagnostic and ancillary orders
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, PPE, quality, and safety standards
