Physicians' Clinic of Iowa, P.C. in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our Neurology Department in a fast-paced, high-volume practice.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, recording vitals, assisting providers, administering Botox, and educating patients on treatment plans and medications. CPR certification is required or obtainable within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current CMA or LPN required.
• CPR certification is required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proficiency in EMR and related computer systems.

• Manage patient communication, including scheduling tests/procedures, referral appointments, medication changes, and prescription refills.

At Physicians' Clinic of Iowa, we are focused on delivering quality patient care. Our Neurology Department is currently seeking a full time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or LPNto deliver care that is second to none in our high-volume fast paced practice.

Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures.
• Record and maintaining records of vitals and other pertinent patient health data.
• Prepare Botox injections and administration.
• Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
• Complete prior authorizations for treatment and diagnostic testing.
• Record and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic test results, including patient communication.
• Manage patient communication, including returning phone calls, answering questions, scheduling of tests/procedures, referral appointments as needed., changes in medications, and coordinating prescription refills.

Qualifications:

• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.
• CPR certification is required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork.
• Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
• Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
