ChesPenn, a network of community health centers in Delaware County, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses in delivering routine, preventive, and diagnostic care to patients of all ages. The role emphasizes patient focus and teamwork.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma and Medical Assistant Certification. Prior MA experience is preferred. Expect a busy ambulatory setting with emphasis on quality patient service and accurate records.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant Certification required.
  • 1+ year experience as medical assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for the providers by obtaining and documenting medical history, vital signs, growth parameters, and reason for the visit.
  • Assist with examination and treatments.
  • Administer injections.
  • Perform visual and auditory examinations.
  • Perform diagnostic laboratory procedures.
  • Perform venipuncture and laboratory tests.
  • Maintain documentation related to patient care.
  • Models ChesPenn’s commitment to an outstanding patient experience at all times.
  • Exhibits exemplary teamwork in support of co-workers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
