Job summary

Atlantic Medical Group in New Jersey seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient intake, update medical records, and assist physicians during clinic visits.

You will handle vital signs, collect specimens, document results, and help coordinate referrals while maintaining HIPAA standards in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. Experience with EPIC or similar systems is preferred.

• Records medical information and test results, conducts patient interviews, takes and records vital signs, collects specimens, and administers medication under physician supervision.
• Assists with walk-in and scheduled clinic visits, ensures verification and recording of clinical data and adherence to quality standards.
• Monitors environment for compliance with continual accreditation readiness and evaluates practice schedule for changes or updates.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the certified medical assistant scope of practice, incorporating elements of holistic patient-centered and team-based care.
• Guides patients through the health care system and helps patients arrive at scheduled appointments on time.
• Provides emotional support related to the patient's clinical situation in accordance with the patient's plan of care.
• Assists with referrals of patients to the appropriate specialist for diagnosis or treatment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• National Certification CCMA from: NHA, AAMA, NAHP, ARMA, AMT, AMCA, or NCCT.

Preferred

• Associate's degree in Medical Care or related field.
• 2+ Years Experience in outpatient, ambulatory setting
• Excellent Communication, Work Ethic, Active Listening, Adaptability to working in fast pace environment, and hold upmost professionalism at all times
• EPIC or similar EMR system
• Ability to work within computer systems
