Qualifications

• Active Registry or Certification as a Medical Assistant; BLS within 30 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (preferred).
• Proficiency in medical terminology and basic procedures.
• Experience with EMR/EHR software.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist during exams.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens.
• Administer medications as directed by the physician.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and document results.
