Novant Health Urgent Care (Formerly Doctors Care) is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Doctors Care center in South Carolina. The CMA will prep patients for visits, take vitals, and document information in the EMR while delivering outstanding customer service.

Ideal candidates possess a High School diploma or equivalent, completion of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program, and CMA or RMA certification, with flexibility to work 12-hour shifts and weekends at various centers in

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program.
• Current Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant.
• Computer skills and basic medical terminology required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for physician visits by taking vitals and collecting medical history.
• Document vital information into the EMR system accurately.
• Assist with patient services at the front desk including phone calls and updating demographics.
• Provide outstanding customer service to patients and internal customers.
• Recognize patient distress and notify the provider appropriately.
• Support providers with medication preparation as delegated and maintain professional conduct.
