Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our care team. You will support clinics with testing, documentation, and compassionate patient advocacy, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, BLS certification, and 1+ year of related experience; CMA/CMAC/RMA/NRCMA certifications are accepted. This is a full-time, day-shift role with benefits from day one and opportunities for career development.

Responsibilities

• Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm and travel as needed to support clinic operations.
• Maintain policies and procedures and ensure organizational compliance.
• Maintain education requirements and demonstrate competency through tests.
• Prepare patients and equipment for treatment and document results in the system.
• Ensure OSHA and safety processes are followed in the office.

Job Description:

• Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Stays up to date and familiar with all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Maintains education requirements for the position and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests.
• Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practice’s designated system.
• Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies.
