Job summary

Sullivan County Community Hospital is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant in Sullivan, IN. The role supports patient care in a fast-paced clinic, performing exams, vital signs, chart updates, and procedures under Practitioner supervision.

Ideal candidates have graduation from an accredited program, MA certification, CPR, and strong communication skills to coordinate with clinicians and staff. On-site, full-time position with routine responsibilities and patient care focus.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in physician’s office or related experience preferred.
• Urology experience preferred but not required.
• Background in medical-surgical nursing and immunizations.
• Knowledge of clinic function and ability to work with clinic personnel.
• Knowledge of community health resources and nursing principles.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and assess per clinic protocols.
• Obtain and document vital signs and chief complaint.
• Update medications, allergies, and patient history.
• Prepare patient for examination and assist as needed.
• Maintain accurate medication documentation and timely records.
• Support triage, specimen collection, and procedure assistance.
• Communicate effectively with Practitioner and patients.
• Ensure compliance with clinic policies and safety standards.
