Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinical care under supervision and handle clerical duties. The role involves preparing exam rooms, taking vitals, assisting physicians, entering data, and maintaining patient records in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with computerized processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam rooms, treatment rooms, supplies and instruments.
• Takes patient's vital signs and records in medical chart.
• Assists physicians with visits and examinations as directed.
• Performs lab testing and uses office software for records.
• Maintains patient records and handles clerical duties as assigned.
• Ensures confidentiality and communicates with patients at appropriate levels.
• Lifts at least 5 lbs., stands for a minimum of 1 hour daily.
