AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, FL, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support clinic operations and patient care. You will perform intake, tests, document results, and ensure safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of health care and medical terminology.
• Experience with chronic disease management encouraged.
• Proficient in using internal and external resources.
• Strong patient advocacy and navigating complex systems.
• Ability to work well under stress in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to work independently within certification scope.
• Demonstrates professional judgment and diplomacy.
• English literacy and effective communication required.
• Experience with computers required.

Responsibilities

• W Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Follows policies and procedures with compliance to organizational standards.
• Maintains education requirements and demonstrates competency through tests.
• Prepares patients and equipment for treatment; documents results.
• Supports OSHA and safety processes and policies.
• Provides whole care during office visits, including intake, tests, labs, and medication administration.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and staff information; supports teamwork.
• Performs clinical intake including history, vital signs, and medication reconciliation.
• Assists with minor procedures and ensures accurate documentation of services.
• Educates patients about tests, medications, and diet; gives clear instructions.
• Monitors and manages inventory; ensures supplies and functioning equipment.
