Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations across the Tampa Bay area. You will prepare patients, perform intake, assist with minor procedures, and document results in the practice system.

You must have a High School diploma, BLS CPR, CMA/CCMA/RMA certifications, and at least 1 year of related experience. This full-time, day-shift role offers benefits from day one and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Maintains education requirements and demonstrates competency through annual clinical tests.
• Prepares patients and equipment for treatment and documents results in the system.
• Maintains confidentiality of employees' and patients' information.
• Supports staff by assisting patients, visitors, and coworkers as needed.
• Performs clinical intake, including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation.
• Assists with minor procedures and ensures accurate documentation.
• Educates patients on tests, medications, and diet.
• Manages inventory and ensures supplies and equipment function properly.
