Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and graduate of accredited Medical Assisting program.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, ensure smooth patient flow, and escort to discharge counter.
• Obtain patient history; assess/triage, measure vitals, record in chart.
• Explain procedures and prep patient and exam room.
• Position instruments and assist physician; sterilize equipment after use.
• Assist physician with procedures.
• Perform dosage calculations for medications.
• Administer injections and vaccinations as needed.
• Perform blood draws.
• Complete medical chart with services, results, and supplies used.
• Call backs, referrals/testing, and schedule follow-ups.
• Assist registration staff and perform clerical duties.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients, assure patient flow runs smoothly and efficiently, escort patients to discharge counter.
• Obtain patient history; assess/triage patient, measure vital signs, and record information on chart.
• Explain treatment procedures and prepare patient and exam room for examination.
• Position instruments and equipment and hand to physician as directed. Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after use.
• Assist physician with any procedures.
• Perform dosage calculations for administering medications.
• Perform injections and vaccinations as needed
