Florida ENT and Allergy, a division of ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time float between Countryside and Trinity locations, training in Davis Island for two months before placement. Our practice offers comprehensive ENT care with a patient-first approach and a collaborative team environment.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of hands-on CMA experience, current certification, EMR familiarity, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year hands-on CMA experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant (current)
• Comfortable assisting with surgical procedures.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a clear speaking voice.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians and team members.
• EMR experience.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.

Florida ENT and Allergy, a division of ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida, is currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time float position between our Countryside and Trinity locations. This position will train in Davis Island for two months prior to placement in the Countryside and Trinity locations. Our practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within the convenience of one medical group. Patient care is our top concern, and because we can provide both diagnosis and rehabilitative services, our patients know they can depend on our team for all their needs.

Certified Medical Assistant Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Certified Medical Assistant who is comfortable with in-office procedures, medical terminology, multitask oriented, motivated, able to handle a high volume of incoming patients, must be a self-starter and willing to learn all aspects of the ENT, Allergy and Audiology field.

Certified Medical Assistant Responsibilities:

• Answering patient calls
• Taking vitals
• Obtaining authorizations
• Scheduling diagnostic tests and surgery
• Preparing exam rooms
• Assisting the physician in exam rooms for procedures as needed (ie: wax removal, biopsies, surgical procedures, etc)obtaining proper consent and ensuring proper scope of practice is followed
• Calling in prescriptions
• Cleaning and sterilizing instruments in accordance with CDC and ENTAAF guidelines
• Provide briefing of each patient prior to physician entering the exam room

Certified Medical Assistant Requirements:

• Minimum one-year HANDS ON Medical Assistant experience
• Current with certification.
• Comfortable assisting with surgical procedures.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• The ability to interact professionally at all times with patients, physicians, and team members.
• EMR experience.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.

Physical Demands:

Coordination, manual, and physical dexterity sufficient to properly and adequately use various items of medical equipment and office equipment as required of the position or directed by the Manager. The position may involve sitting, standing, bending, and stooping. Incumbent must also be able to assist patients in transferring from wheelchair to an exam chair, when necessary. Responsibilities may also require the incumbent to travel between ENTAAF offices for support purposes. The incumbent must also be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
