Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination, record chief complaints, vital signs, medications, allergies.
• Assist with examinations, tests, procedures, and office-based surgery; apply splints or dressings.
• Administer medications and immunizations as ordered after demonstrating competency.
• Document data in the patient medical record and manage forms and scheduling.
• Provide patient education and direct them to health resources; document education in records.
• Support insurance forms, registrations, scheduling, pre-authorization and billing tasks.
