Job summary

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant at Lancaster Family Health Center in Salem, OR. The MA will support clinical teams, update records, prepare patients, and assist providers while ensuring safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assisting program with at least 720 hours.
• Certification as CMA or interim CMA in WA state is required or eligible.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Spanish-speaking skills preferred at ALTA score 10; bilingual differential may apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient records and update medical history, vitals, and immunizations.
• Prepare for patient visits and review labs, referrals, and reports for providers.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure efficient schedules and care continuity.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies and sterilization are in place.
• Educate patients on medications and discharge instructions; answer questions.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures; manage test results in EMR.
