Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in the Urology Department for full-time days. Join a supportive team in a fast-paced outpatient clinic and contribute to patient care with direct, individualized support.

Requirements include CMA or RMA licensure, BLS-HCP, and at least 1 year of related or clinic experience. The role offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a schedule from Monday to Thursday 8:00 am–5:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am–2:00 pm, with shortened Friday hours.

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) license required.
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) required.
  • 1 year of related experience or clinic experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct and individualized care to clinic patients.
  • Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; monitors and communicates changes in patient condition; documents care given.
  • Maintains equipment and medical supplies; reorders, stocks, cleans and troubleshoots; maintains examination areas.
  • Performs administrative duties including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Working as a Medical Assistant in the Urology Department is rewarding because of the strong, supportive team and the fast-paced, busy clinic environment. How you'll contribute

A CMA who excels in this role will:

  • Provides direct and individualized care to clinic patients.

What we're looking for

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) license required and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional requirements include:

  • Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification and Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) required.
  • Experience: 1 year of related experience preferred; 1 year of clinic experience preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
