Job summary

CenterPoint Health - Winchester is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support physician services. The FLOAT position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm EST, with emphasis on clinical and administrative tasks and patient care across sites.

The CMA will perform vitals, document history, assist with exams, manage specimens, and support scheduling and education while maintaining accurate EHR records. A CMA certification and BLS are required or completed within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred
• CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification required
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the assigned area or office
• Take vital signs, document patient history, and update EHRs
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and administering medications or injections
• Perform basic lab tasks, prepare specimens, and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms
• Support front office and patient care coordination, including scheduling and patient education
