Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join Northwest Pediatrics on a part-time, on-site basis in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Schedule is 7:30am–5pm with Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; Wednesdays and Fridays off.

Responsibilities include patient rooming, vitals, injections, urinalysis, and preparing rooms for procedures while ensuring aseptic technique and proper waste disposal.

Qualifications

  • Verbal and written English communications for safe patient care and documentation standards.
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
  • Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement.

Description

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a compassionate, patient-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at our Northwest Pediatrics team!

The schedule for this position would be 7:30am - 5pm Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (with Wednesdays and Fridays off!)

Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, you will room patients, record vital signs, administer injections, urinalysis, set up and clean up procedure rooms for in-office procedures, properly discard all biohazard and sharps waste, and stock supplies. Must demonstrate good principles and practices of aseptic technique, knowledge of standard precautions, urinalysis, and basic pharmacology.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with an active certification with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
  • Aware of standards of cleaning and performs in accordance with them
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with othersDemonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards
  • Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement.
  • Is aware of standard and performs in accordance with them.
  • Previous experience is preferred
