Job summary

Ardent Health Services seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for day shift, PRN work in Topeka, KS. The CMA will provide high-quality patient care, perform clinical and administrative tasks, and support a care Team led by physicians and advanced practice providers in a clinic setting.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited CMA program, holds CMA or RMA certification, and is proficient with EMR and MS Office. BLS is required within 14 days of hire to begin direct patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Current CMA or RMA certification.
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

The Medical Assistant Certified (CMA) provides superior patient care and performs both clinical and administrative tasks that support patients in a clinic-based environment as part of a care team led by the physician and/or advanced practice provider.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program.
• Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
• Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree.
• Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting supporting patient care.
