Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a full-time role at the Richmond County Jail in Augusta, GA. The CMA will provide patient care within the scope of practice and support a secure healthcare environment inside the detention facility.

The position offers an incentive bonus and comprehensive benefits. Must be a certified CMA; prior correctional or behavioral health experience is a plus but not required.

• Experience in Correctional or behavioral health is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality care within the CMA scope of practice.

• Follow local practice acts and collaborate with nursing personnel as needed.

The CMA delivers quality care consistent within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state. The CMA assumes responsibility and accountability for the quality of care delivered during work hours; works to ensure a safe environment for themselves, the patient and other staff members.

• Works in accordance with local practice acts and regulations, and functions to other competent nursing personnel appropriate to their scope of practice
• Experience in Correctional or behavioral desired but not required
