Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of a qualified Medical Assistant course are required.
• Certification as Medical Assistant and Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) are noted in the job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for physician/provider examinations and administer injections and immunizations.
• Perform laboratory testing, EKGs and other testing; schedule appointments and support front and clinical areas.
• Assist with documentation under physician supervision to ensure accurate medical records.
• May perform phlebotomy and related procedures, including venipuncture.
• Record vital signs: at least three per patient visit and maintain exam rooms and supplies.
