Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in Las Cruces, NM to perform routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the assigned area or office. You will assist with patient assessments, basic diagnostic procedures, and specimen collection under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include document patient care, maintain supplies, manage filing and scheduling, and ensure clean examination areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of accredited medical assisting program.
• Certification CCMA, CMA or RMA required.
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of physician or nurse, assist with patient assessments and treatments.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care provided.
• Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering and stocking.
• Maintain examination areas and assist with administrative duties as assigned.
