Qualifications

• CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification; CPR certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and prepare for examinations.
• Assist in examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Record vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKG, wound care, and injections under supervision.
• Administer vaccines as requested by the provider.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests, ECGs, pulse oximetry, and nebulizer treatments.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for procedures.
• Assist in minor surgical procedures and maintain a sterile environment.
• Conduct laboratory tests such as urinalysis, blood glucose, and rapid strep tests.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and medications.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals.
• Maintain EHRs with confidentiality.
• Handle patient inquiries and collect co-pays.
• Adhere to clinical protocols and infection control.
