Island Health in Anacortes, WA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for Specialty Care Clinics on a Per Diem/Days schedule. The role involves direct patient care, vaccines, lab testing, and coordinating patient flow.

Minimum two years of outpatient clinical experience and WA MA-Certified credential required, with BLS and national MA certification (AAMA or NHA) preferred. On-site, per diem schedule with competitive hourly pay.

Competenze

• Two years of clinical experience in an outpatient physician practice.
• Must maintain current Medical Assistant-Certified credential issued by the WA Department of Health.
• Must maintain current BLS certification and a national certification as a Medical Assistant from AAMA or NHA.

Mansioni

• Rooms patients and documents for visits; assists with exams.
• Processes patient situations by phone to determine medical attention.
• Administers vaccines and medications; conducts EKG and Spirometry testing.
• Performs CLIA-waived lab tests (glucose, INR, pregnancy tests, TB tests, etc.).
• Facilitates clinic flow and coordinates patient information between clinic and other entities.
