Job summary

Memorial Health System - Ohio in Marietta, OH is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support across primary care, surgical, and specialty practices. You will assist with procedures, administer medications, and maintain accurate EMR documentation for ambulatory patients.

You will also manage front office tasks, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and collect co-pays while upholding confidential patient information and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program with an AAMA, RMA, or NHA certification or approved equivalent is required.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to medical plan of care and assist with procedures as needed.
• Reconcile medications in the EMR with each patient encounter; administer provider-ordered meds per policy.
• Submit prescriptions (new and refills) electronically to patients’ pharmacies and document in the medical record.
• Collect patient data, vital signs, allergies, history, and update the medication list; provide patient education as needed.
• Authenticate entries and maintain accurate documentation in the medical records; assist with front office duties and scheduling.
• Verify insurance eligibility/benefits and handle patient payments and co-pays.
