Sovereign is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Somerset, NJ ambulatory surgery center team. The role focuses on clinical support, accurate documentation, and effective communication with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Current Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited organization.
• Proven experience in clinical tasks including vital signs measurement.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and general medical procedures.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Current BLS Certification
• Experience with EHR systems (preferred).
• Training or experience in patient education and counseling (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient dressing, hygiene, mobility, and transport.
• Perform clinical tasks and administering basic patient care.
• Manage patient records, update medical charts, and ensure accurate documentation using medical terminology.
• Maintain patient areas.
• Respond to patient needs or triage clinical requests appropriately.
• Handle medical office communications and perform general administrative duties as needed.
