Job summary

Sentara Medical Group is seeking a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the Providence Clinic in Virginia Beach, VA. You will support providers, assist with clinical procedures, and coordinate patient care in a fast-paced primary care setting.

The role includes up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (occasional 7:00 AM starts).

Qualifications

• Less than a year of related experience is required.
• 1 year of clinical experience is preferred.
• High School Graduate or Equivalent is required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Current, unexpired Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, or equivalent) or EMT-Basic certification from an accredited organization

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care and administrative/clerical tasks under the supervision of physicians and nurses.
• Supports providers and coordinates patient care activities to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Contributes to a fast-paced primary care setting with a collaborative team environment

Clinic Hours

Monday through Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM | Day Shift (Occasional 7:00am start times required)

Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $21.69 - $32.14 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
