Job summary

Master Center for Addiction Medicine in Virginia seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join our outpatient team serving individuals with substance use disorders. The role supports the medical provider team with patient histories, vital signs, bloodwork, injections, and PHI entry into the EMR.

This full-time position in the Chesterfield area offers a Monday–Friday schedule, starting salary at $19+ per hour.

Qualifications

• CMA certification or CNA with patient-facing medical office experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience with bloodwork and injections; direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting medical provider team in taking patient histories and verifying medications and ROS.
• Checking and documentation of patient vital signs.
• Patient bloodwork and injections as directed.
• Communicating with medical providers.
• Working with recovery coaches and external labs to coordinate lab requests.
• Collecting, documenting, and reporting Urinary Drug Screens and breathalyzer/mouth swabs.
• Documenting patient PHI into the EMR and assisting in check-in/out.

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team of professionals at Master Center for Addiction Medicine who are providing outpatient treatment to persons with substance use disorders as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary treatment team. We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the Chesterfield area.

Master Center for Addiction Medicine is a private, outpatient addiction medicine treatment center based in Richmond, Virginia. Position Qualifications:

• CNA with patient facing and medical office experienceORCertified Medical Assistant Certification

• Two years' experience as a Medical Assistant highly preferred

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting medical provider team in taking patient histories and verifying medications and ROS
• Checking and documentation of patient vital signs
• Patient bloodwork
• Communicating with medical providers
• Working with recovery coaches and external labs to facilitate lab and bloodwork requests from providers
• Working with recovery coaches to collect, document, and report Urinary Drug Screen and ETOH breathalyzer/mouth swabs
• Assisting the coaches as needed in documenting patient PHI into electronic medical record
• Assisting in checking in/out patients as they move through the office encounter
• Other duties as assigned

This position is Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

This position is for the Chesterfield area.

Salary starting at: $19+ an hour
