Core Job Functions

• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Qualifications for MA 1, MA2, and MA3

• Medical Assistant 1- (MA1) High school diploma or equivalent Active - National or Statewide Certifications required American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers No previous experience required. Valid HIV/AIDS 2-hour course completion certificate
• Medical Assistant 2- (MA2) High school diploma or equivalent Active – National or Statewide Certifications required Minimum of 2 years previous experience Active - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)for healthcare providers Valid HIV/AIDS 2-hour course completion certificate
• Medical Assistant 3- (MA3) High school diploma or equivalent Active – National or Statewide Certifications required. Minimum of 4 years previous experience Active - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers. Valid HIV/AIDS 2-hour course completion certificate Candidates must obtain their National certification no more than 12 months from date of hire Paid varies depending on experience.
