Job summary

CHI St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, Oregon is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our care team. You will support clinicians, perform screenings, assist with procedures, and help coordinate patient care using our health IT tools.

The ideal candidate will have CMA certification, BLS, and a patient‑centered approach, with strong communication, compassion, and teamwork. This role offers hands‑on clinical exposure and opportunities to grow within a faith‑based community hospital.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or equivalent credentials.
• AHA BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
• Obtain and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height and weight, allergies, medications and presenting problem.
• May draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Administer medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant routes.
• May perform routine tests including EKGs.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will be a vital pillar of our care team, significantly impacting patient well-being through direct support and seamless coordination.

Every day, you will actively collaborate on comprehensive screenings, assist with clinical procedures, provide essential health education, and expertly manage administrative tasks, leveraging technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations. You will ensure patients feel at ease, patiently explaining instructions and addressing their concerns.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical knowledge, technological fluency, genuine compassion for patient well-being, and an adaptable spirit keen on continuous learning and collaborative teamwork.

• May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.
• May perform routine tests including but not limited to EKG’s.

Non Certified MA: $19.25 - 26.78 (encouraged to apply)

Certified MA: $22.51-31.79

Pay Range

$22.51 - $31.79 /hour
