Job summary

NasonCare is hiring a full-time Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant in Charleston, SC. The role includes triage, EKGs, phlebotomy, IV starts, injections, and CLIA-waived lab testing. Candidates must be CMA or RMA certified and bilingual in Spanish.

EMR proficiency and strong patient service are essential, with rotating 12-hour shifts and weekend coverage. We offer 401(k), health/dental/vision insurance, and PTO after 90 days.

Qualifications

• CMA or RMA certification required.
• Bilingual Spanish required.
• Clinical experience in a medical office required; urgent care or emergency department preferred.
• Knowledge and proficiency with EMR systems preferred.
• Knowledge and experience working with medications.
• Ability to work a continuous 12-hour shift, 8am-8pm.
• Ability to work rotating weekends 9am-5pm.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Able to perform injections and EKG.
• General assisting knowledge.
• Phlebotomy skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and triage patients while accurately documenting medical histories, symptoms, and vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, IV starts, injections, and other clinical procedures as directed.
• Administer oral and injectable medications in accordance with provider instructions and established protocols.
• Collect and properly label patient specimens, including nasal swabs for COVID-19 and flu testing.
• Perform CLIA-waived laboratory testing and document results accurately.
• Prepare exam rooms, clean and sterilize equipment, and maintain adequate clinical supplies.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures while supporting efficient patient flow.
• Communicate clearly with English- and Spanish-speaking patients regarding care instructions and next steps.

Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant

NasonCare is currently searching for a full-time Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant to join our team of medical staff! As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for direct patient care including triaging patients, EKGs, phlebotomy, IV starts and injections, CLIA Waived Lab testing, administer oral and injectable medications and collection of specimens to include nasal swabbing for COVID and flu. We are open 7 days a week, 12 hours on weekdays, 8 hours on weekends.
