Job summary

St. Joseph's/Candler in Hilton Head Island, SC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support daily operations at the clinic. Under provider supervision, you will perform triage, patient prep, and clerical front desk duties to keep the health center running smoothly.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Triages with gathering data: weight, height, BP, histories, meds and allergies.
• Prepares exam rooms for in-office procedures and assists provider as needed.
• Monitors/relates to medical supplies; checks expiration dates; restocks rooms.
• Retrieves medical records for providers in SC offices; keeps charts up to date weekly.
• Performs clerical front desk operations for the Hilton Head office.
• Provide nursing team support in HH and Bluffton offices.

Job description

Assists the day to day operations keeping the health center running efficiently and effectively. Focuses on clerical front desk operation tasks for the Hilton Head clinic. Completes triage and patient preparation for the providers as needed. Under the direct supervision of a provider, performs medical tasks as needed. Retrieves medical records for all providers in the South Carolina offices.

Core Job Functions

• Triages appropriately with gathering the expected data: weight, height, BP, social/family, medical histories. Medication and allergy reconciliation.
• Preps exam rooms for in office procedures and assists provider when warranted.
• Monitors and list needs of medical supplies. Pays attention to expiration dates. Inventories new orders and restocks closet and exam rooms.
• Retrieves medical records for all providers in the South Carolina offices. Keep all scheduled patient charts up to date weekly.
• Perform all clerical front desk operations for the Hilton Head office.
• Provide assistance in HH and Bluffton offices for the nursing team. ie Nursing team or Front Desk team.
