Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the Outagamie County Jail in Appleton, Wisconsin. The CMA delivers care within the scope of practice and is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff during day shifts.

A current CMA certificate is required; experience in correctional or behavioral health is preferred but not required. Wages are competitive and based on experience, with opportunities for a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid CMA certificate.
• Works in accordance with local practice acts and regulations, and functions to other competent nursing personnel appropriate to their scope of practice.
• Experience in Correctional or behavioral desired but not required.

POSITION SUMMARY

The CMA delivers quality care consistent within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state. The CMA assumes responsibility and accountability for the quality of care delivered during work hours; works to ensure a safe environment for themselves, the patient and other staff members.
