Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologists, and patients through patient care management, organization, and clear communication. The role emphasizes collaborative care and delivering an effortless patient experience.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1+ year MA experience or approved MA certifications, with opportunities to advance and contribute to community health in a fast-paced urgent care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year MA experience in hospital, primary care, ED, or urgent care.
• Or hire: MA certification (CCMA/CMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA).
• Or nursing graduate (LPN/LVN) or EMT/Paramedic licensed.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical providers and radiologic technologists in patient care and workflows.
• Support patient intake, charting, and coordination of care.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely communication with patients.

Job Summary

In a collaborative manner, the Medical Assistant will provide support to the Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologist, and patients through a variety of tasks, including but not limited to patient care management, organization, and communication.

Minimum hourly rate starts at $17/hour and is commensurate with experience.

This position offers monthly incentive pay based on performance metrics.

Job Requirements

• Required:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• AND
• 1+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant in a Hospital, Primary Care, Emergency Department, or Urgent Care setting
• OR
• One of the following MA certifications at the time of hire ( or must obtain within 12 months of hire):
• CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National Health career Association)
• CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistants, or CHP Certified Health Professionals)
• RMA- Registered Medical Assistant ( verified through AMT , Details...
• NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing)
• NRCMA- Nationally Registered Certified Medial Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals)
• OR
• One of the following:
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, LPN or LVN at the time of hire (verified through state license)
• EMT- Emergency Medical Technician (verified through state certification and/or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians)
• Paramedic (verified through state certification and/or and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians)

Required Licences/Certifications

• CPOE certification required within 2 weeks of hire if MA certification is not obtained at hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA)
• CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National HealthCareer Association)
• CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistant)
• RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists or AAH, American Allied Health)
• NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing)
• NRCMA - Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals)
