Job summary

GoHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologists, and patients. You will contribute to patient care management, organization, and clear communication to ensure an effortless experience and high-quality care.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1+ year MA experience, and MA certifications (CCMA/CMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA) or nursing/LPN/LVN/EMT qualifications. You must have BLS at hire and may obtain CPOE within 2 weeks if not MA-certified.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience in hospital, primary care, ED or urgent care.
• MA certifications: CCMA/CMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA (or equivalent)
• Nursing/LPN/LVN or EMT/Paramedic certification considered at hire or within 12 months.
• BLS certification required at hire; CPOE certification within 2 weeks if MA cert not obtained at hire.

Job Summary

In a collaborative manner, the Medical Assistant will provide support to the Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologist, and patients through a variety of tasks, including but not limited to patient care management, organization, and communication.

• Minimum hourly rate starts at $17/hour and is commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant in a Hospital, Primary Care, Emergency Department, or Urgent Care setting
• One of the following MA certifications at the time of hire ( or must obtain within 12 months of hire):
• CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National Health career Association)
• CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistants, or CHP Certified Health Professionals)
• RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists, or AAH, American Allied Health, or ARMA American Registry of Medical Assistants)
• NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing)
• NRCMA- Nationally Registered Certified Medial Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals)
• OR
• One of the following:
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, LPN or LVN at the time of hire (verified through state license)
• EMT- Emergency Medical Technician (verified through state certification and/or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians)
• Paramedic (verified through state certification and/or and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians)

Required Licenses/Certifications

• CPOE certification required within 2 weeks of hire if MA certification is not obtained at hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA)
• One of the following certifications is required (or must obtain within 12 months of hire):
• CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National HealthCareer Association)
• CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistant)
• RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists or AAH, American Allied Health)
