Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the clinical team and patients during daily visits.

You will help patients navigate visits efficiently, from pre-visit intake to post-visit follow-up, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care. You will assist with patient exams, medication administration, wound care, and lab specimen collection, while organizing schedules and proactively updating EMR records to coordinate follow-up tests or procedures.

Qualifications

• Medical Assisting Diploma required.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program.
• Certifications listed upon hire per program acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient exams and administer medications.
• Dress wounds, collect lab specimens, and support clinical team.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, you will help our clinical team and patients navigate their daily visits so they can receive efficient, high-quality, and compassionate care.

Every day you will proactively manage patient flow and chart preparation. You will be expected to support the provider throughout the full patient visit cycle, from pre-visit intake to post-visit follow-up.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a high level of clinical accuracy, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

• Clinical Support: Assist providers with patient exams, perform medication administration, dress wounds, and collect lab specimens.
• Operational Efficiency: Organize daily schedules, proactively update electronic medical records, and coordinate follow-up tests or procedures.
• Patient Experience: Act as a primary point of contact for patients and families, ensuring they are prepared for exams and fully informed regarding their ongoing care plans.
