Responsibilities

• Maintain clinical supplies and equipment and ensure proper storage of biohazards.

About the Role

Unity Health Network, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a Primary Care practice. You’ll work closely with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and clinical and front-office staff to provide timely, patient-centered care.
The primary center for this position is identified as Hudson, OH, with the listed work location at 739 Graham Road, Suite 200, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. You may also support other local work sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete patient clinical intake, including vital signs and patient history.
• Schedule appointments, process prior authorizations and medication refills, coordinate referrals, and respond to patient calls.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience using electronic medical records software.
• Experience with medical back-office responsibilities, including vital signs, injections/immunizations, phlebotomy, urinalysis, and medication administration.
• Experience with medical front-office responsibilities, including appointment scheduling, prior authorizations, medication refills, and referrals.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $16.00-$29.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
