Job summary

VillageMD is hiring a Medical Assistant to support patients at our Cumming, GA location. You will welcome patients, prepare them for visits, and communicate clearly about procedures and care plans. You will perform vitals, EKGs, and phlebotomy while assisting providers with exams and treatments.

Ideal candidates hold a medical assistant certification, have experience in primary or urgent care, and demonstrate empathy, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; certification preferred.
• Nationally certified medical assistant is required or in progress.
• Experience in primary care or urgent care is a plus.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and prepares patients for visits, explains procedures clearly.
• Performs point-of-care tests, prepares rooms, and assists providers.
• Collects vital signs, EKGs, and specimens as directed.
• Administers medications per provider instructions and documents correctly.
• Maintains clean, stocked, and compliant treatment areas.
