Page Mechanical Group, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced urology clinic. You will obtain patient histories, vitals, and test results, coordinate scheduling, and prepare exam rooms for procedures.

The role requires Medical Assistant Certification, CPR/BLS, and experience with EMR systems. You will assist with medications, blood draws, injections, and patient communications while maintaining confidentiality and quality care.

Qualifications

  • Proven customer service and phone etiquette required.
  • Maintains organized systems for timely patient flow.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • 1–3 years clinical experience with licensed physician preferred.
  • Phlebotomy and injections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and record patient histories, vitals, and test results for medical records, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Coordinate daily administrative tasks including scheduling, check-in/check-out, and record maintenance.
  • Verify patient information by interview, medical history review, vital signs, and visit purpose.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and assist practitioners during procedures.
  • Support patient care by handling specimens, basic lab tests, bladder scans, and administering medications as directed.
  • Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and professional standards.

Certified Medical Assistant

Responsible for obtaining patient records and test results, coordinating daily administrative tasks, rooming patients, helping patients via phone calls, preparing treatment rooms for examinations, and assisting our practitioners during medical procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.

  • Obtaining and recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Coordinating the daily administrative activities, including scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, patient phone calls, and patient medical record maintenance.
  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment.
  • Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
  • Supports patient care delivery by helping health care providers during examinations; preparing laboratory specimens; performing basic laboratory tests on the premises; performing bladder scans; disposing of contaminated supplies; sterilizing medical instruments; administering medications on the premises; authorizing drug refills as directed; working on medication prior authorizations; drawing blood as directed by providers; helping patients over the phone; stocking rooms.
  • Serves and protects the physician or health care provider practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Preparing and administering medications for patients as directed by physicians.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette.
  • Ability tomaintaineffective and organized systems to ensuretimelypatient flow.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Computerproficiencyand prior experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of hands-on clinical experience working with a licensed physician or associate practitioner preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of phlebotomy skills preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of administering injections preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification.
  • Active CPR/BLS Certification.
  • Degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
