Overview:

Sentara Medical Group's Family Internal Medicine Riverwalk in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team.

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 for eligible candidates!

The Medical Assistant will perform patient care and administrative tasks based on training, education, and competency evaluations, under the supervision of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, or licensed practical nurses.

They will ensure a safe environment, address safety principles for patients, visitors, and staff, and demonstrate competence in patient care, inter-departmental interactions, and adherence to policies and procedures. The role requires efficiency in daily operations and responsible resource utilization.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma
• Certification: Must have one of the following:
• Certified Medical Assistant
• Registered Medical Assistant
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
• Certified EMT (EMT-B, AEMT, or Paramedic)
• Experience: At least 1 year of clinical or administrative experience
