Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verify level of assistance per 1823 form/medication assessment and informed consent.
• Maintain all medications ordered by the health care provider in a locked central storage.
• Ensure all medications meet the 8 mandated labeling requirements.
• Label samples or complimentary medications properly; dispense samples only in original manufacturer’s package.
• PRN medications must indicate specific reasons and frequency for use.
• Use alert labels for direction changes without obstructing labeling.
• Maintain accurate monthly medication observation records.
