Job summary

Nova Space Solutions (NSS) is seeking a Mechanical Technician, Certified to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and install mechanical equipment and systems supporting NASA facilities and operations. This position performs preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards.

The role is based at Stennis Space Center, MS, and requires U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 5+ years related experience acceptable in lieu of education.
• Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain NASA badge.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, adjust, repair, and service machinery for safe operation.
• Diagnose equipment defects through inspection and disassembly.
• Install, align, and service pumps, motors, and mechanical drives.
• Overhaul and repair hoists, cranes, and elevators; service hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
