Job summary

Washakie County School Dist 1 is seeking a full-time Lifeguard to provide a safe, customer-focused environment at the county aquatic facility. You will enforce facility guidelines, monitor pool areas, and assist with lessons as needed.

The role requires vigilant supervision, the ability to respond to emergencies, maintain records, and attend monthly in-service training. Evening and Saturday shifts are included in the schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Able to lift over 50 lbs.
• Must have current Lifeguarding/First Aid CPR certification or pass prerequisite testing.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing activities at an aquatic facility.
• Assisting with swimming lessons.
• Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of patrons.
• Maintaining order in swimming areas.
• Performing first aid procedures.
• Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of all areas.
• Maintaining records and reports.
• Attending In-Service training monthly.
• Able to work different shifts as assigned, including evenings and Saturdays.
• Other duties as assigned.
