Job summary

Medix is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) for a full-time, contract-to-hire role at an on-site community health clinic in the Seattle area (Seattle, Lynnwood, or Everett). This position partners directly with a healthcare provider to manage patient flow and support clinical tasks.

Responsibilities include patient intake, venipuncture, injections, administering medications, vital signs, and EPIC EHR documentation; bilingual candidates (Spanish or Russian) preferred.

Position Title: Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C, accepting interim license) – Community Health Clinic

Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Location: On-site (Seattle, Lynnwood, or Everett)

Pay Rate: $24.09 / hour

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated, patient-centered Certified Medical Assistants (MA-C) to join our outpatient community health clinic team. In this role, you will work in a direct 1:1 partnership with a healthcare provider, playing an essential part in managing patient flow, providing clinical support, and ensuring high-quality care for under-served communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Intake & Flow: Follow clinic protocols to room and exit patients efficiently, supporting high-volume care (20+ patients per day).
• Clinical Procedures: Perform venipuncture, administer injections, and deliver oral medications under physician orders.
• Immunizations: Administer vaccinations and immunizations in compliance with state and clinic standards.
• Vital Signs & Documentation: Obtain vital signs and accurately document clinical information in the EPIC EHR system.
• Provider Support: Assist providers with charting office visits, managing physician team EPIC inbaskets, and ensuring clear communication for coordinated patient care.
• Referral Management: Complete all provider referrals for each assigned patient in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Required Certification: Active Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C) credentials through the Washington State Department of Health (DOH).
• Skills: Excellent customer service skills, a professional demeanor, strong multi-tasking capabilities, and coachability with an eagerness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using EPIC electronic health records software.
• Prior experience in primary care, outpatient clinics, or COVID support operations.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Russian is highly preferred (English/Spanish preferred).
