Job summary

Weis Markets, Inc. is seeking a Central Fill Technician for its West Virginia operations. You will assist in precise prescription fulfillment under pharmacist supervision, support dispensing automation, and ensure inventory accuracy. This role requires attention to detail and strict adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The position involves processing drug orders, maintaining records, and supporting daily central fill workflows to serve local pharmacies and patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Active National Certified Technician certification.
• Valid driver\'s license for business travel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely manual prescription fulfillment under the supervision of a pharmacist in a fast-paced closed-door pharmacy setting.
• Support central fill dispensing system and automation to maintain workflow and daily production goals.
• Identify medications using NDC, size and strength prior to processing.
• Assist replenishment of medications in automated cells following proper procedures.
• Prepare packages for final distribution to local pharmacies or patients.
• Process incoming drug orders and replenish inventory using handheld scanners with FIFO rotation.
• Assist with inventory management including cycle counts and recalls.
• Maintain knowledge of systems and equipment used for Central Fill processing.
• Document and update prescription information when needed (expiration date, lot number).
• Prepare Specialty Pharmacy medications for shipment to patients.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance on automation cells/cassettes.
• Provide operational support to pharmacists and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Maintain focus and accuracy during repetitive tasks.
• Report suspected prescription errors immediately.
• Adhere to policies and procedures related to central fill and pharmacy operations.
