As a Certified Homecare Aide - HCA, you’ll enrich clients’ lives by supporting wellness per care plans. This role offers training in dementia/Alzheimer’s care and opportunities to advance your skills

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time-management; able to juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to client homes as scheduled.
• Able to perform housekeeping and cooking duties with dietary constraints in mind.
• Willing to comply with health and safety standards.
• Bring compassion and a desire to brighten each client's day.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with light physical activity and walking.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments.

As a Visiting Angels Certified Homecare Aide - HCA, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Certified Homecare Aide - HCA Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table

License:

• HCA
• CNA
• Exemption Letter with Active NAR
• Driver's License if applicable

Shifts (7 Days a Week):

• Morning
• Mid-Day
