Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, supporting nutrition and mobility, and maintaining a safe, clean environment in accordance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred.
• 0-1 Years of relevant experience preferred.
• Indiana Home Health Aide Certification (HHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and medication reminders.
• Monitors and documents vital signs as directed by nursing staff.
• Provides companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Assists with meals and ensures dietary needs are met.
• Supports safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics.
• Keeps resident rooms and common areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Follows facility policies, state regulations, and safety guidelines.

Position Overview

The Certified Assisted Living Associate (HHA) provides care and support to Assisted Living and Assisted Living Memory Care residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety. The role includes direct patient care, emotional support, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to maintain a positive environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists AL residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Additionally, assists with medication reminders and ensures AL residents follow prescribed healthcare plans.
• Monitors and documents vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) as directed by supervising nursing staff.
• Provides companionship and emotional support to AL residents, promoting a positive and nurturing environment.
• Assist AL residents during mealtimes, including serving food, feeding if necessary, and ensuring dietary needs are met.
• Helps with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and safety protocols.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized environment in AL residents’ rooms and common areas.
• Complies with facility policies, state regulations, and safety guidelines to provide the highest standard of care.
