Job summary

Elara Caring is hiring a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) in New Jersey to support clients at home, focusing on dignity and comfort. The role includes personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep, and companionship, with a patient-centered approach and respect for each client's routines.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Board of Nursing CHHA license is required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience caregiving for elderly or disabled is preferred (professional or personal).
• Compassionate, patient and dependable personality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation to client homes.
• Ability to lift, stand, bend and assist clients up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing and hygiene assistance
• Assist clients with mobility, transfers and daily living activities
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed
• Perform housekeeping and light household tasks
• Provide companionship and emotional support to improve quality of life
• Assist with errands, grocery shopping and transportation to appointments when applicable
• Promote a safe, comfortable and respectful environment for each client
