Job summary

BrightStar Care of Concord, Lexington, and Waltham seeks a dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA) or Caregiver to support clients in the community. You will provide essential in-home care, companionship, and assist with daily activities across Concord, Lexington and surrounding towns.

You’ll find flexible hours, competitive pay ($18–$21/hr), RN oversight, and opportunities for advancement in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Home Health Aide Certificate from a reputable program required.
• CPR certification required.
• 1 year caregiving/home care experience preferred.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Licensed driver with insured vehicle.
• Ability to read/write/speak English and communicate effectively.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in meaningful activities.
• Help with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Monitor and report changes in clients’ health and well-being.
• Follow care plans to ensure client safety and comfort.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and transportation as needed.

Home Health Aide (HHA) Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and engage clients in meaningful activities.

• Follow individualized care plans to ensure client safety and comfort.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and transportation as needed.

Home Health Aide (HHA) Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Required: Must have valid/verifiable Home Health Aide Certificate from a reputable educational program.
• Required: Certified CPR
• Preferred: one (1) year of documented caregiver, home care assistance experience
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile with proof of insurance.
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality care.
• Adhere to HIPPA and maintain client confidentiality.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to provide support to push and pull, bend, lift, kneel depending upon the mobility of the client and must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
